Which Park Has the Best Drinks?
EPCOT wins, and it is not close. The World Showcase alone has 11 country pavilions each serving drinks native to that region. You can genuinely spend an entire day Drinking Around the World and never repeat a drink. The United Kingdom pavilion has proper British ales on cask. Japan has sake cocktails. France has actual Champagne by the glass. Germany has MΓ€rzen straight from the tap.
Hollywood Studios comes in a strong second, particularly the Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge β it is one of the most immersive bars anywhere in the world, serves unique themed cocktails, and has a strict 2-drink maximum per visit so the line moves quickly.
Magic Kingdom: The Alcohol Exception
The park itself is famously dry β Walt Disney originally wanted Magic Kingdom alcohol-free and that tradition has largely held. However, the two on-site deluxe resorts (The Contemporary and The Grand Floridian) serve full bars and are a short walk or monorail ride from the park. The Enchanted Rose lounge at the Grand Floridian is worth the trip.
Your First EPCOT Bar Crawl
Start at La Cava del Tequila in Mexico (the most popular bar in all of EPCOT β go early), work your way around World Showcase counter-clockwise, and end at the UK pavilion for a pint. Budget 4β6 hours, drink a glass of water between every two drinks, eat something at every other pavilion, and you will have one of the best days of your life.
Universal Orlando: Do Not Skip These
The Hogshead Tavern in Hogsmeade serves Butterbeer (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), pumpkin juice, and FireWhisky. It is touristy but genuinely fun. For something more serious, Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios has a rotating selection of Irish whiskeys and a proper pub atmosphere. Strong Water Tavern at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is where locals go β extensive rum collection, great food.
Money-Saving Tips
Annual passholders get 10β20% off food and beverage at most locations. Check the discount before you order. EPCOT Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden Festival, Food & Wine Festival, and Festival of the Holidays all have special drink offerings at booths around the park β these are often the best-value drinks you can find.
The Disney Dining Plan does not cover alcohol, but it does cover non-alcoholic beverages you can swap out. The savings on food can free up budget for drinks.
